History of the Institution
LEPL - Georgian Technical University was established on January 16, 1922. At different points in time, the above University carried out its activities under the following titles:
- Georgian State Polytechnic Institute;

Accreditation/Authorization:
In Georgia, the process of institutional accreditation of higher education institutions started in 2005. From September 2010, the process of licensing educational activities and institutional accreditation was abolished and the authorization of educational institutions began. The educational programs administrated before the commencement of the 2005-2006 academic year by the Higher Education Institutions established under the requirements of the law of Georgia are state-recognized.
